Pretentious: pretending to be something/someone it/you is/are not.
I didn’t think salt and pepper shakers could actually be pretentious. But I was wrong.
Is there anything more pretentious than these salt and pepper shakers from CB2? I mean, come on. Maybe if you picked them in Spain, they’d be an interesting addition to your table. But they’re not. They’re from your local CB2. Who buys these? People who want their salt and pepper shakers to make them seem well-traveled? I’m so confused.
